Our Civil Engineering division is managed under the direction of Izzat Nashashibi, a partner of the firm, and registered California Civil Engineer with over 40 years of field and office experience in engineering. In addition to his vast hands on experience in his field, Mr. Nashashibi is also well versed in the procurement of various land use permits, and plan processing and approval through governmental agencies.
Engineering services are primarily land development based, and include site development plans for grading, paving, draining, and utilities, along with horizontal control, erosion control plans, and street plans for curbs, gutters, sidewalks, etc. We also provide consulting services associated with land planning, construction costs and project feasibility. Services also include land use applications, preparation of tentative plans, final maps, phasing maps, and all other civil work pertaining to land development.

Our service in this division is managed under the direction of Rick Humann, partner in the firm of a professional licensed Land Surveyor. This service include topographic mapping that is necessary for the design of various projects, either designed by our firm, or as designed by others, including architects. We also provide “As-Built” surveys for completed construction projects as well as ALTA surveys that are often required in commercial land transactions. Services in this area also include establishment of boundary lines in smaller urban and suburban areas, as well as rural underdeveloped acreage, parklands and the like. |

This section of our surveying department also covers expert witness services associated with land and boundary disputes, along with forensic surveying that is often needed to facilitate the analyses of traffic accidents or other catastrophic events. Other services include elevation certificates, volume calculations, structure and tree height determinations, sight distance surveys, and other various services associated with land development.

This service is provided under the direction of David Bartholomew, a licensed California Professional Land Surveyor who has been with the Humann Company since 1991, with the experience that spans over 30 years. Construction Staking services include layout staking as required for all proposed improvements associated with developments designed by our firm, as well as architects and outside engineers. Typically, these improvements include grading, storm drainage, parking lots, curbs and gutter, utilities, buildings, building foundations, piling locations., etc. We also provide layout surveying that is connected with high-rise construction for beam and girder layout surveying that is connected with high-rise construction for beam and girder replacement in the post foundation stages of the project. Services in construction staking have additionally included work for airports, rapid transit, refinery work, tank farms, oil and other fuel lines traversing with the facility, as well as overland. |
